Originally from Troy, Michigan Ken Appledorn has both American and Spanish citizenship as he has been working in Spanish television, film, and theatre for the past 12 years. He began working on the webseries Malviviendo, seen by over 100 million viewers across various platforms and eventually purchased by Turner Broadcasting. His role in Malviviendo led to his own television series El Viaje de Peter McDowell on Canal Sur TV, as well as various appearances on different Spanish television series. In 2013 he was awarded best supporting actor at the prestigious Malaga Film Festival for his role in the film Casting and in 2014 was nominated best Andalusian actor for his role in the film The Extraordinary Tale. That same year he played a series regular in the TV series The Refugees the first coproduced series between Spanish production house Bambú and the BBC. And in 2018 he played the role of Bill Gallagher in the award winning Spanish series Arde Madrid, opposite Debi Mazar. In 2019 he took part in a Woody Allen directed film, and has as well as the film Malnazidos directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera and Alberto del Toro. He is currently a series regular in El Ultimo Show, under the direction of Alex Rodrigo and Carlos Val. He is also on tour throughout Spain with the theatre company Los Morancos. And he's a happy guy.
